Take only pictures, leave only footprints.
In the world of outdoor enthusiasts, this is a heavily promoted ethos encouraging a responsible use of our wilderness areas. As a photographer with a love of the great outdoors, this is a favorite quote of mine. I feel very fortunate to live where I do as Colorado offers up some beautiful locations which few people venture to, leaving them virtually untouched. The following photographs were taken in a few of these places.

The sun peeks through the clouds and rolling fog after a summer rain. The mountain air is damp and cold despite it being the end of June. Higher up, snow still remains.
