I don't really know where to begin with this one - As I paint I often turn pieces upside down and while doing so, this piece decided the sky should be the ground and vise versa!  A closer look will reveal antique dictionary pages from the 1800s showing through the many layers of this landscape, and the shimmer of copper-gold highlights appear from different viewing angles.

• Hand painted with encaustic beeswax medium, damar tree resin, pigments, paper, oils & shellac.
