AN UNDERSTANDING

Title:  An Understanding

Birdsong through the trees. We hear the rhythm of an invitation, but we don't know the words. We listen and try to figure out what is being communicated.

An Understanding explores that space between hearing and understanding—the quiet desire to make sense of what we see, hear, and feel. Nature offers one example, but life is full of these moments: sensing that something matters before we fully understand why, searching for meaning, and wondering what we may be missing.

Trees and leaves emerge through rich browns, rust, and plum, bringing together my signature vintage-modern style with aged papers and textured surfaces. Layers of color, pattern, and texture create depth, with forms that seem to appear and recede, much like thoughts and feelings that take time to understand.

This piece brings warmth, depth, and a quiet sense of mystery to a room.
