Title:  Wildwood

As I worked on this piece, intricate lined patterns began to emerge, bringing to mind the term dog hair thickets. Though it has nothing to do with actual dog hair—nor is it related to the phrase hair of the dog, which refers to a hangover remedy—it carries a meaning deeply rooted in nature.

In the context of forests, dog hair describes an area densely packed with small, suppressed trees growing in a wild, untamed manner, their branches weaving together in an almost chaotic dance. A true wildwood in spirit.

This piece evokes the raw, untamed essence of nature with its layered textures and earthy hues. Rich in organic movement, this piece captures the dense, interwoven chaos of a wild forest—where time and growth weave their own stories. Subtle yet dynamic, Wildwood invites the viewer to explore the beauty of nature’s unrefined wilderness.
